Studio Shots

(A childhood friend suggested I post theses photos to show the artist's human side.)

The Trailer

The porch: the plastic lay in tatters after a winter of battering. Two 14 foot totem poles were carved and painted in here, placed end to end. More on the totems in another place. The wooden floor is slanted and caved in. Various treasures of wood are stacked against the wall. The trailer door is to the left.

The Wood Shop

Here is where flutes are made. This place needs some cleaning right about now. In the middle ground is a jig for drilling panflutes. In the distance is the doorway to the lathe. Various old timey calipers hang on the wall.

Looking back, a full sized carved figurehead is buried behind stacked boards. To the right is the door to the back yard and more stacks and stashes of different kinds of wood. I have done alot of work in here.

The Flutes are often finished in the house, as with the drafting and artwork. There are tapedecks and computers set up in the house as well, adding up to apparent chaos. But out of chaos comes order.
